Bill Rogers

Born: Port Arthur, Texas
Died: May 10, 2005

     An accomplished conductor, composer, pianist and arranger, Bill Rogers graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1956 and went on to graduate from Lamar University.
 

     His lengthy career includes arranging and conducting for such legends as Jerry Lewis, Frank Sinatra, Shirley McLaine, Tony Bennett, Johnny Carson, Barbara Streisand, and Bob Hope.

 

     For a class reunion and as a special tribute to his home town, Rogers wrote a symphonic arrangement of all the high school fight songs from Port Arthur.
