Glenn Wells

Born: 1943 in Woodville, Texas
Died: 2006

     Glenn Durwood Stilwell, Jr. moved to Port Arthur with his family at an early age. He graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School, followed by the University of Texas at Austin.

 

     Under the stage name Glenn Wells, he wrote and performed songs with a group called the Blends during high school.  Later he wrote and recorded such hits as "You're Mine Tonight," "Write Me a Letter," and "Lesson in Love."
